Advanced Navigation and Educational Services for the Virtual Paleontological and Geological Museum (e-PalM) (Project Code: MIS 5185020)
The project entitled “Advanced Navigation and Educational Services for the Virtual Paleontological and Geological Museum (e-PalM)” (Project Code: MIS 5185020) was implemented within the framework of the Action “Research and Innovation Synergies in the Region of Attica” and funded under the ESPA 2014–2020 programme, co-financed by Greece and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project developed a platform providing virtual tour and educational services for the Museum of Paleontology and Geology, which is housed at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The project commenced in August 2022 and was completed in December 2023. The participating partners included the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), specifically the Network Management and Optimal Design of Telematics Networks Laboratory (NETMODE) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering; the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where the Museum of Paleontology and Geology is located; and Omega Technology.
